Carla Joy Martin’s Piano Studio
PRIVATE PIANO LESSONS:
I offer weekly one-on-one lessons in my private studio on my baby grand piano – it’s over 100 years old!
• Students learn how to read music, count rhythms, how to improvise (create their own music) and how to perform with joy.
• Students are offered piano literature in many genres, geared for their levels and progress through weekly practice.
• The more students try out at home what we discuss in our lessons, the faster they will progress.
It is helpful to set aside practice time right after homework!
• Students are also encouraged to share with me their favorite songs and artists so they can learn what they enjoy hearing.
• Emphasis is on offering a sound background in music while making it fun!
• All my students gain an appreciation of the language of music which is universal.
Some of my students have gone onto professional careers in music (even playing for Disney auditions and musicals!)
Other students have continued their piano studies in college, well-prepared by our instruction together.
